About

GWSC’s Vision Group is part of the Vision Generation (VGen) who are a national youth movement of World Vision Australia. Our mission is to inspire, educate and empower young people in the fight against global poverty and injustice.

We formed on the 19th of August 2008 at the ‘Am I Trading Lives?’ stir session. This was held a Emmaus College where like minded students held a forum to discuss the challenges and solutions to modern-day slavery. The panel was composed of Tim Costello (World Vision CEO), Alana Smith (VGen National Director) and The Hon. Anna Burke MP (Member for Chisholm). From this Stir session we decided to start our own Vision Group for Glen Waverley Secondary College.
